DishTV is presently align towards 95°,how you can say for ST2 at 88° no realignment required

alignment required to get ST2 currently Dish TV STB locked for Ses8/Nss6/As5/Gsat10 so software update also needed to lock st2 in Dish STB...

Any news for Software update for Videocon D2H due to merger as now dishtv active service on Videocon D2H connection ???

The fact is d2h has been merged with Dish TV and not vice versa. If any changes occur - whether in software or hardware - should affect the d2h users only and I do not expect any major changes for Dish users except addition of channels. The satellite realignment can be done in a phased manner.

Business works on the model, which provides higher margin and not on the basis of who bought who. Only the brand name of the purchaser is used and other brand name is killed. Best technology is retained to gain higher margins Hence, IMO, everything will be called DishTV moving to ST2 satellite in a phased manner. Slowly changing all the boxes to common one with latest technology (in many years or by offering free upgrade to all users). I am not sure if DishTV STBs are currently MPEG2 or has MPEG4 DVB-S2 capability. If they have the capability, then it is easy for them to maintain better quality else, MPEG2 will eat up more space or will need higher compression in ST2. Let's wait and watch.
