DishTV pays tribute to the Uri Martyrs
DishTV, a part of the Essel Group, highly values the contribution of our Armed Forces in the safe keeping of our motherland. DishTV believes that besides the Government, it is the responsibility of the Indian corporate citizen to support the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). It has already initiated skill development training in the country through 'Dish Dost' program to offer self-employment opportunities.
The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) Board has also adopted 'Dish Dost' initiative as one of the skill development programs. 'Dish Dost' program offers an opportunity to provide training at 62 locations all across the country. The training will be given in DTH Set-Top-Box Installer / Service Technician and E-Commerce activity in trade.

DishTV undertook 'Shradanjali Sabhas' (total 19 in number) in the villages/town of Uri martyrs to pay tribute to these Uri Bravehearts who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our motherland. The Members of Parliament of the area /local MLA/ Sarpanch of the village along with a large number of the local public attended the Shradanjali Sabha to pay tribute to the Martyrs. DishTV made a humble donation of a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to each of the martyrs' families. An opportunity has also been given to one of the family members of the martyrs to become a partner with DishTV through the 'Dish Dost' program. Through this program the family members of the martyr will be able to earn through a self-employment opportunity. DishTV feels privileged to make this little contribution to these bravehearts.
Dish TV has initiated the program as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity and will continue to do this activity in the future.
