Blackstone also finance almost all Major Studios Viacom, Amazon, Apple to Netflix. In that logic blackstone put Star, Sony, Viacom18 together, unlikely they do that they're only help investment on major media companies and rise stake/Jv.
Ok i got confused with blackrock 😂

What about operations if Blackstone acquired Star? Is Disney oversee Star as minor partner?

It's similar like Bodhi Tree with Viacom18, some established market player/New company will get finance from Blackstone, Qatar investment, Blackrock or Temasek to Investment on Star and they will rise stake or Continue 50-50 with Star/Hotstar indian operations.

These type of investments/adjustments without prominent media company drags Star India's collapse in future.

Blackstone Media Division is under two ex-Disney executives. They've already made a few lousy buys like Reese Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine and Will Smith's Production Company. None of them are making any money. Disney Star will be in a similar situation. If the deal goes through then it will be like 2 former Disney employees providing lifeline to Bob Iger who is in crisis right now.

that's not issue, Media business always change hands. Indian Media company/strategic partners can't run Entertainment and Sports media networks for long term, later they will trying to sell their media company again to US represent Companies or shareholders. we can see same things which happened for NDTV Turner, WB, Asianet, Maa Network, Vijay TV, Network18, UTV, Zee.

I'd be honestly very impressed if Blackstone manages to get away by buying the entirety of Disneystar, isn't like mandatory for any foreign operator to have a local investment partner? I doubt the entire corporation will sell in pieces as suggested.
