Buddy in business terms its not called Partnership its called selling out.. partnership and selling out is completely diff terms so choose wisely.
Disney is not selling its India business rather diluting the stake and partnering with another company who shall buy the same.....so i did not say anything wrong....even Sony-Zee is a partnership/merger where cash + stocks r exchanged a joint entity is formed....when Disney-Star and Reliance/Viacom18 deal is completed u shall see Disney too get shares of Viacom18/Reliance Media companies apart from money for the stake it sells and a new merged entity will have joint holding across various assets

I think you have not digested with this 😀

Did u get official press release from either companies...also the article clearly states that still there is no consensus on deal and how it will be done

Its not a headline in one news paper, all news papers are published as big news. They will announce after their companies board meetings.

I wonder how reliance will operate viacom18 & star india?? Separately or will merge them together??

In viacom18 thry paramount, uday shankar-mudroch have minority stakes whereas in Star india disney will have minority stakes. So will they able to merge them together??
If these things happen as per CNBC next month Disney owned Star may gets good treatment, Viacom18 sidelined just like Voot/UTV or Viacom18 abandon for Disney Star survive.

Viacom18 majority owner Reliance, not only Paramount, Universal/Comcast too own minority stakes indirectly. Warner Bros Discovery also CNN and streaming content partner.

Old habit die hard.. earlier u were having all belief that disney star will dethrown viacom and regain top rankngs and now when they have sold their india business now again knowingly u r falsely justifying ur statement by saying its partnership.. they r not diluting they have sold their assests to ambani

Also this majority and minority stake is just Hogwosh type of things during transaction.. u will realize sooner or later how 5-10% of remaing stake will be sold in a year.. i have seen numerous dealings like this…

Yup thats what i also think, they might abandon viacom18, except colors, colors kannada nd colors gujrati none of their channel is successful whereas star almost 90% channels are highly successful with most of them being no.1 or no.2 in their market.

Now i wonder how they will merge viacom18 & disney star ?? Or may both work separately but thats highly unlikely to happen

Even Viacom18 moving new HQ and Disney also renewed HQ for long term nine years. One can't run two media companies, if they acquire for short term success, again to whom they sell both media entertainment entities, maybe again US media giants.
