555 Ic projects are simple hobby circuits... its a pulse generator (Timer Ic) we can make siren, fancy running lights for decoration, clocks...etc... very interesting circuits are available in http://www.electronicsforu.com/electronicsforu/lab/
visit the circuit lab they will keep 400 circuits per-month. 555 five Ic project need care while making it. some time we cannot get output.
