1Sports - Lex Sportel
Eurosport - Discovery
DSport - Downlink license owned by Discovery whereas Lex Sportel claims uplink license.
Lex claims Discovery made an agreement to downlink and distribute their channel as DSport in India.
Main bone of contention is Lex Sportel will lose its wide reach it had due to being in bouquets as DSport.

I hope this all hullabaloo and buzz about Eurosport doesn't end up in a thud. Dsport began with a big buzz but down the 2019-20, it has become a third grade channel ever since the HD version got shut down.
Hopefully, prime events like Tour de France, MLS, etc. return in FHD.

Why we need to pay for thease type of third grade sport items,1 sports must be a fta rather than paid.So, in simple terms, the existing 'DSPORT' will continue to air everything as it is; under a new name '1SPORTS'. (Check their website)
And, Discovery will launch a new channel on 14th Feb 2019 and will either call it 'DSPORT' or 'EUROSPORT' or 'EUROSPORT INDIA' (hopefully will launch an HD channel too sometime later) and will air original programming and other licensed sporting events on it, which are currently not on the existing channel. Also, they may go for some cricket acquisitions for quicker growth.
