DVB-S2 = Digital Video Broadcasting – Satellite 2 nd Generation
It is a new standard for digitial satellite communications.
DVB-S2 saving up to 30% of bandwidth. The dB level is increased upto 2.5 dB margin gain.
DVB-S2 is designed as a substitute for the DVB-S standard.
DVB-S2 is used for broadcast services including standard and HD TV, interactive services including Internet access.
The development of DVB-S2 coincided with the introduction of HD TV channels.
It have a powerful coding scheme based on a modern LDPC code.
DVB –S2 used for optimizing bandwidth utilization by changing transmission parameters.
