Epic channel to launch new show with Javed Akhtar

MUMBAI: Segmented entertainment channel Epic will soon launch a new show ‘Jaane Pehchaane’ with veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar. Akhtar will narrate researched stories of stars, films and scenes from the yesteryears.

Making his debut on the small screen, he will reminisce old Bollywood stars in a nostalgic set up.

The channel has commenced shooting for the show. Directed by Tarik Khattar and produced by Cinestaan Digital, the show will premiere on the channel this June.

It will cover almost every genre of Bollywood cinema, from the angry young men to romantic heroes and from iconic villains to unforgettable mothers.

epic tv is a very good informative tv to know our history, but the sad part is that it still does not have advertisements to make money, hope the channel survives and advertisers come so that we dont loose out on a good historical channel.
