Sun Direct has waived this additional NFC slab of Rs.20(for 25SD channels) so if a customer choose even 300 fta channels still it will only cost Rs.130+tax. Incase a customer choose 100 fta and 50 pay channels still his NFC will be Rs.130 and there won’t be any additional NFC. Offcourse he has to pay for the pay channels.

They don't have 300 but we can add many FTA & Pay channels without worrying about NFC. This is very good deal monthly prices will be saved a little.

If true very good move by SunDirect

The move may good but no use for 90% customers. The real burden of cost starts with in 100 channels and minimum ncf 153 (general case).First of all SD lacks a lot of FTA channels(even if they don't give all fta channels free we only select maximum 30 channels)Secondly within we select 50 pay channels our pocket will burn. So nobody go to the 100 mark as per current channel rates. So here no problem of 20rs additional ncf fee arises. So this offer is practically invalid in most cases

trai should force dth operators to carry atleast 200 fta channels. now as they can't charge money for fta channels they may stop carrying many fta channels.

Tata sky provides a DD + compliment - FTA promo pack of 193 channels free for everyone.The channels in this promo pack is not counted for NCF in Tatasky..So whatever user selects (free apart from in promo pack or pay)of his choice only counted for calculation of NCF.so user can select 100 channels apart from the 193 channels of the promo Pack without any additional NCF.so this comes to 293 channels without additional NCF i.e. 293 channels at same 153.4 rupees NCF .

A single base pack @₹153 with all FTA channels and pay channels are add-ons.
