may be they don't want to compete with sun tv's movie channels. only in their old music airing channel.. name forgot they air old classic movies once in a while.

it is GEC channel ..they show news in between in afternoon & in evening just like sun tv and show films in afternoons.. & serials in evening and morning repeat airing of old serials.

What do the political GECs show? How do they have any viewership? No other language (except maybe Malayalam) has so many political GECs, though most languages have political news channels.
We all know that Tamizhars watch mainly Sun TV/Zee Tamil/Star Vijay/K TV. How do these political channels (Captain, Makkal, Mega, Tamilan) survive?

I don't know whether I can take this as a pride. It shows the amount of time tamilians watch television. T.v is being called id*ot box but people who work as barbers, tailors, small tea shops they keep working and watch this id*ot box. I can say this with pride about discovery Tamil channel, it shows how eager are people to know about information. If television can make people knowledgeable and take intelligent decisions then it is genius box.
