Puttakkana Makkalu has garnered 13.5tvr in its launch week. Highest ever for a Kannada serial (second being Jothe Jotheyali with 11.8tvr).

This slot already had around 9-10 TVR for previous show.. As it is a new serial with Umashree in leading role, expectation was high with good promos and reached 13.5 TVR.. Hope it won't get dragged like JJ in upcoming weeks..


The last week of Paaru had 10.3 TVR and now Puttakkana Makkalu 13.5 TVR.. Not sure how it is 50% growth as stated in poster

The growth has been shown based on previous months performance @ 7:30 slot. But they should have given it based on last week TVR.

Why is it this much hit?

This is the second serial after JJ to become No. 1 in it's first week. And even breaking JJ's 11.8 TVR record @ Launch Week.

Revamping of 9 to 10.30 slots would work really well for ZK. Puttakkana makkalu rating showed the potential of ZK.. strong afternoon slots + revival of 8.30 to 10.30 would easily take ZK to 2000+ grp
