Jio Giga Fiber is a FTTH based network, TS is a DTH based network, both are operating differently using different technologies. Not possible.

Buddy, first understand what my post meant. I very well know how both operate in different models but combining the same is what will be way forward. Have u not seen Tata Sky already talking about providing content from linear as well as OTT medium.

Just read the last para of my previous post, i stated that having strong DTH service and adding Internet based OTT option to it will be perfect product for concerned subscriber segments. Tata Sky can have tie up with Jio GigaFiber for OTT service. This is what i meant by merger or partnership if u want a better term for it.

It would be better if TS expands Tata Sky Broadband to much more areas and then give a combo packs for DTH +Broadband so users interested can watch Live content and OTT together.

Why will they tie up with GigaFiber when they can use their own infrastructure
Exactly. Tata Sky thinking to use Jio is far away thing, we customers can't even imagine them using Jio GigaFiber for OTT services even when Jio Fiber will be available just everywhere. Tata Sky Broadband no where/hardly anywhere available and won't serve any wide purpose.

Well no matter how hard they try they will not be able to match scale or reach of Jio GigaFiber. By having tie up it will benefit both of them in a major way. Also Jio brings in host of other added advantages which Tata Sky broadband cannot offer at same price. Tata won't invest in expanding broadband beyond big cities or should i say have 3rd party agreement for larger part, It is useless to expect best results from this.

As i have said cordial relations will play a big part in seeing this come to reality. Atleast i won't be taken aback if this is making news in next few weeks.

People also do not expect Star India sharing hindi movie library with Rishtey Cineplex but it happens, Hotstar getting special treatment on Jio TV would also be something unusual for many or Tata Sky getting special preview of Viacom18 channels will be surprising

Bapun bro in business decisions r taken based on larger factors and what is best for concerned stakeholders. Jio and Tata Sky tie up is win win for both and not a case of encroaching upon one another. Remember OTT will be taken by limited subscribers hence there is no risk of regular dth subscribers getting eaten into, if Tata Sky does not hop on then surely niche subscribers will ditch them for OTT instead of making use of both worlds separately

Look like tatasky will be the next dish tv not adding a single channel where so many important new channel has launched in past one week...
Yes bro...airtel is adding all channels one by one here tatasky is not adding even a single new channel😣
Where are the days where tatasky used to be the operator to add first???

After new trai rules tatasky has changed...should have chosen Airtel instead of tatasky...but anyway still better than dishtv
