No, 1080p channels are available in India.

I don't think these were ever part of FTA Complimentary. Both were part of FTA English News pack.

No, 1080p channels are available in India.

But 1080p has different quality .In 1080i , sometime far objects or some movements showing those horizontal interlaced lines where in 1080p output there is no such issue
