Instead of channel addition they should focus more on channel picture quality...lately I am observing some sd channel quality is not as expected..they are deliberately downscaling it

no its an back-end activity of Tata Play Tech Team they shuffle channels from 1 Tp to another to create space or Increase Quality .

Thanks for sharing this information @Vadirocks anna. What exactly does "fixed deals" mean bcoz under NTO rules all broadcasters can only sign RIO agreement and make monthly payments to broadcasters depending upon channels subscribed by its customers, long term agreements by giving advance payment to broadcasters is not permitted neither can any broadcaster offer special discount to any operator... Just regular LCN placements, channel penetration and other such benefits applicable for all operators.

Also anna any update about Airtel Digital TV? I think they might also be planning introduce many new changes /services/decisions /policies alongwith pending channel addition.
