Getting Power From HDMI cable

Hi
Today morning I started stb and waited few seconds to boot then went to swith on tv. When i touched tv i got slight power shock. so i removed tv power cable but still there was current so i checked hdmi cable with tester and power was passing throught hdmi cable. Is it common or any problem with stb.

Checkout earthing of your AC sockets by any good electrician.
If you have removed the HDMI cable from TV side & checked it while other end of the cable connected to STB, chances for leakage current through your STB is possible.
A good earthing can overcome this problem.
This is not normal , so check out the electrical connection first.

Yes its an electrical problem, check ground & neutral & check tv power also,some time currents comes through av/Hdmi/Usb.
if its a two pin power socket then
For temp,Do this: rotate the power socket one time & insert it,means change the polarity of the socket.
