The forest film was shot in four wildest jungles, the makers say. "We filmed it in the forests of Kerala, besides a few locations in Mahabaleshwar Mumbai. A major part of the film was shot in Thailand. It was a taxing endeavour to can 'Aranya' over 250 days with the help of 145 members of cast and crew," a report says.
The story revolves around the caretaker Aranya and his 16 smart elephants that know survival strategies.
