Hinduja Ventures (HVL) will roll out GHITS,
headend-in-the-sky platform by March 2015.
GHITS will also provide TV Everywhere and
value-added services (VAS) to its sister concern,
IndusInd Media and Communications Ltd (IMCL).
The group invested over INR 1 billion in its
subsidiary, Grant Investrade Ltd (GIL), to
spearhead the HITS business.
HVL has considered to launch a white label
service model to a large number of cable
operators through HITS model, which would
provide quality backend services stipulated by
TRAI. HVL is eyeing many synergies between
GHITS and IMCL.
GIL was the third company in India to receive a
HITS licence after Essel Group and Noida
Software Technology Park.
