they are alraady running 20 sd channels in all mpeg2 dvb s transponders which are meant to run 15 sd channels and they r running 12 hd channels in a mpeg4 dvb s2 transponder meant to carry max 8 hd channels. all channels have poor picture quality, totally dull with highest compression applied and they do apply deblocking to dissolve those pixels

They Don't want to spend money on Foreign satellite and MPEG4 conversion thatswhy they are overloading current satellite now many famous channels are having poor picture quality due to poor planning of tata sky.

Answer to this question is....till now at least, all the theory regarding how many channels Tata Sky can add have been explained in retrospective manner...meaning first channel will be added and then a theory to prove it will be discussed. HD channel count was biggest example of such scenario. Where when 9th HD channel was added and when 12th channel was added, same theory was applied to explain. So nobody is really clear on Tata Sky. Certain as a company they should not have been complaining about the situation they are in, rather they should have at least taken decision to go for MPEG4, which was in their hands.

There is lots of decrease in PQ and audio quality is very poor on some channels specially on regional channels..
