How to renew base pack?

Hi,
I wanted to know how do u renew basic pack?
So do u renew it after it expires or few days before expiry?

Do u renew via portal or by calling customer care? And u keep renewing ur existing pack, right (i.e. not changing the pack)?

All these queries because I’m on 'south sports' pack - 75 channels - Rs. 1,700 annual subscription - This pack is only available (when I login) on mytatasky.com website - This pack is not available on tatasky.com as it discointinued in May 2013.
My annual pack expires on 31 January 2014.

So, I'm trying to renew my basic pack for the 1st time.

I’m getting error while doing it through portal – ‘u r trying to change base pack for which u’ve paid it in advance. Pl. call helpline’.

When I call helpline, they say ‘ur current pack is not available now, it is discontinued, hence change ur base pack to higher priced - 'south sports special (Rs. 2000 onwards)…..blah blah blah:wall ’

This is unfair as exisitng pack is shown on mytatasky.com portal still helpline says it is not available! :no

So how do i renew my existing pack?

South Sports pack is discontinued by TS hence it wont be shown on their website... However existing subscribers who are already subscribed to this pack can renew it from portal or via CC. I am still subscribed to the South sports pack only (renewed december 2013). :k

Thanks for the suggestions.
I didn't receive any call/sms so I got it done through chat on 31 January.
Same pack - south sports - renewed for another year.
