Purely star decision to shutdown.

I Think Star is doing this because Hungama was actually UTV Channel so they decided to shutdown one of their acquired channel rather than a channel which was created by them, Hungama business did got unsettled a bit after Sony yay started showing Shinchan, that might have played a part as well, Hopefully It wont get shutdown and someone will buy it.

Sacrificing kids' channels (Hungama and Super Hungama) in the name of a merger (selling or shutting them down) is not a good thing. This is not done!

No one thought that the Hungama brand would be asked to be sacrificed! That's totally unacceptable!

Wonder why Star rather loves to shutdown long-running channels rather than revamping them to increase the ratings. Sonic could have taken the bullet instead of Hungama. Disney International HD can also shutdown too.

This might have to do with the amount of shares one has in merger , Reliance is controlling party here with 51% Share, Star is only here to say yes whatever reliance ask them to do.
