No one on the internet seems have not hacked or upgraded their TS+HD box.
Well i have tried and successfully upgrade my internal TATASky HD+ recorder box HDD from existing 500gb to new 1Tb. And yes, it works flawlessly. I somehow dont have 2 tb HDD to test the same. Can someone confirm if they were able to upgrade it to 2TB?
When i asked ahout the same to local dealer he had no clue on the upgrade and he said you cannot. There is no way to upgrade the same. He also consulted the technical team in TATASky and they also confirmed the same. I wonder how come we Indians known for our superier brains dont just apply thier brains for simple hacks?
Steps on how to upgrade HDD. Pls note that this i was able to do on older TATASky HD+ recoder which came with 2 cable input. I am not sure if this will work with TATASky Transfer box which comes with 3 concurrent connections.
Note: Doing so do it at your own risk as it will void any warranty or service from TataPlay.
1. Remove the cover of the recorder box
2. Remove screws and cables from the internal HDD and replace the existing 500gb with 1tb
3. Format the drive from TS TP menu and then wait for the box to format the drive
4. Its done. you are now good to use your new HDD
Above steps can also be usefull for those who wants to replace thier corrupt HDD
With 500gb i am able to record approx 100HD movies on it. With 1tb you can double the same..
Conclusion:
1. Can someone confirm if they were able to upgrade their internal HDD on TATASky Transfer box?
2. Can someone confirm if they are able to upgrade to more than 1T HDD?
I can confirm that 1tb works without any issue.
