INSAT 4A and INSAT 4CR replacement coming soon

Hope that Tata Sky will get replacement satellite on time, even if launch + orbit placement r successful i am fearful that allocation might take longer time and create issue. Also Tata Sky needs to add more transponders or move HD subscribers to HEVC else they r heading towards bandwidth shortage scenario again in next few months
 
Arianespace’s first mission of the year is an Ariane 5 launch on Feb. 5. The rocket will carry two satellites — Arabsat’s Saudi GeoSat-1/Hellas Sat-4 and the Indian space agency ISRO’s GSAT-31 — to geostationary transfer orbit.

Sivan said, “Though Gsat-31 is not a heavy satellite (2,600kg), we are using the services of Arianespace as it is an emergency launch to replaced the dying Insat satellite so that communication services are not affected.

He said that “Arianespace will also launch Gsat-30 in June.” This satellite will replace another dying satellite Insat-4A to ensure continuity of several services. It will provide high-quality television, telecommunication and broadcasting services.
