Satellite updates Insat 4B migration to new satellite GSAT-30

Dear all,



Please note that all the services on Satellite INSAT4B (on which 10 TV18 Channels are available) are to be migrated to new satellite GSAT-30 in the same orbital angle. Earlier, INSAT4B was placed as replacement satellite to End of Life Satellite INSAT4A. ISRO has advised customers to move to GSAT-30 as INSAT4B performance is not satisfactory. This migration is essential to continue services without serious impact.

The activity is planned on 5th February 2020 - Between 0100 hrs – 0200 hrs ( Midnight tomorrow). All TV services in the satellite are likely to have an impact of about 30 minutes during this timeslot.

ETV Network is service provider of above mentioned channels, I think etv network telugu channels also will be moved to Gsat 30 shortly. I think etv may get more bandwidth on gsat 30, as they are planning to expand their network.

How? All these channels will be moved to c band, not ku band. Channels addition is depend upon deal between broadcaster and Dpo.
