Rajinikanth’s new film has a name, a new poster and those are just a few of the details that the fans of Thalaivar have been waiting for. The film called Thalaivar 164 till now has been titled Kaala Karikaalan. The film is the second project of Rajinikanth and Pa Ranjith after the superhit Kabali. Director Pa Ranjith had said that Rajinikanth will be seen playing a man from Tamil Nadu’s Tirunelveli who escapes to Mumbai as a child and goes on to become a powerful don living in Dharavi slums. He is Kaala to those who oppose him, and it is also a reference to his colour. The film will have many mass action scenes, which will cater to Rajinikanth fans.Within minutes of the title being announce, Kaala became a top trend in India. The film’s powerful poster was appreciated by his fans.

Now that the poster is out, it can be confirmed that the film will have music composed by Santhosh Narayanan, Sreekar Prasad as film editor and T Ramalingam as the art director. The film’s poster was revealed by Dhanush, Rajinikanth’s son-in-law and the film’s producer.

Revealing the poster, Dhanush wrote, “Wunderbar films presents .. superstar Rajinikanth in and as #thalaivar164.” This is the first time that Rajinikanth and Dhanush are working together. As per the reports, Huma Qureshi has been signed to play the female lead in the flick. The rest of the cast is yet to be revealed but the interest in Rajinkanth’s next film is at an all-time high.

Openly I dont like this. It seems seniority is seen in sports only. Senior sports players are retiring and giving way for youngsters. He is having grandchildren, still he is acting like a hero in films. He should give way for youngsters also. There should be age factor in Film Industry. If he plays a role like father, grandfather etc., no issues. But playing like a hero with a heroine of his daughter's age is not good. This is not scenario in tamil industry, its there in hindi and other regional film industries also... This attitude should be changed.

This is purely my open statement and not against to anyone.
