According to close report Colors Kannada has acquired kasturi film library. Now CK has access to 50+ classical hits. This deal has been done months back. Colors is converting every film to standard 480p and 720p

That's because in 90s, 2000s Acquired movies Satellite Rights already started sinking on Colors Kannada and Udaya TV more movies wll be expire from 2023/2024 year. most of producers sold Rights for 20/25 years, once movie Satellite Rights expire no producer will Renew again with Agreement for 25 years same cheap price, very difficult renewal movies again for same broadcasters. Digital Rights entry producers started movies Satellite Rights sold for 7/10 years and selected movies 15 years.

It's clear advantage for Channels like Zee Kannada, Star Suvarna, Kasthuri TV launched in between 2006 to 2008, as these channels late entry in market and won't expire some long term Acquired movies. they have full Access to any movies syndication/sub licenses to any Broadcasters and OTTs Because most of movies Acquired as Movie Rights these years doesn't have division like Satellite, Digital Rights in Agreement.

If Broadcasters won't ink syndication deal with another broadcaster means only movie Acquisition buyers like Shemaroo, Eros, Rockline entertainment, Kothari films can save Colors Kannada and Udaya TV acquiring alternative movies catalogue.
