Because now udaya is no 1, so badalagide samaya badalagthide udaya. And udaya is promoting original shows with celebrity guest and adds dubbed content, which may take udaya to no1 or 2.

Serial trp depending on presentation,story and making if good its get good rating otherwise It will be flap.

He is well known king all over india is right but story is very north indian which dont have any connect with south plus do you think serial made on chola dynasty will work in uttar pradesh?? same goes to ashoka.
Plus story will work if presentation is on par with bahubali level
Mahabharat worked because its story of whole indian subcontinet which is very well known in every household of india but that is not case with ashoka plus mahabharat presentation was on par with bahubali or you can say that mahabharat is tv's bahubali
