They must do it when they are steady at top 2. Competition increases from rivals if they are at top 1. While rebranding, they should launch HD channel. Right now it costs Rs. 1/- (in all cable + airtel)to Rs.5/- (others old price). As HD channel consumes double of SD, they can price at Rs. 2/- to Rs. 3/-.

If HD DTH consumers are more than 85%, they can just have only HD version.

Star Suvarna Plus Successful channel when it Aired Orginal Fiction, Non fiction Programs and Music Contents Channel Reached 100 GRP and also Top 5th Channel ( In TAM Ratings ), they did Big mistake converting GEC to Movie/Sports Channel lost all Viewership
