There is a neck to neck competition between Zee and Star in Bangla region, but I dont see any Mahasangama there!

Bangla don't know but Marathi market

Colorskannada Dominated(achieved No1) 4years in Kannada , same way Zee Dominated 6+year in Marathi. Present both region market leader atleast some extent fear to loose No1 position .

So my assumption is like how colors kannada started come back maybe same way Zee Marathi looks comeback (there ratings very stable). So to secure the there Serial viewers channel may do this type of mahasanchike or mahaepisode .

Kannada Channels started 2013itself these mahasanchike but recent 2year its increased racket spead .This concept (some new rules adopted) its still new to other languages.
