Don't know why Udaya is also changing timing of decent rated orginal serial. Do they thought that enough ratings than netravati will get for this Nagashree?! It may be bad move.
May be their prime time is devoted solely to old model remake serials and dubbed ones. All their remakes have the same family drama, which revolves around struggling women; there is no newness in the concepts.
Closing the original shows one by one to make way for remakes of some old concepts
Kasthuri Nivasa was off-aired by frequently changing the timings.
Kavyanjali was successfully destroyed, which had a good craze in social media among all their recent serials (rating was also good initially).
Nethravathi was their No. 1 show for many weeks. Now also it is getting decent ratings.
Gowripurada Gayyaligalu was getting good ratings at 6.30 p.m.; they moved it to 6 p.m. to make room for Janani.
Sun network is not giving importance to Kannada market. Gemini and Surya TV are also not performing well in comparison, but they are still investing in new serials and reality shows, and they are not yet ready to invest here.
I think Kick dance show which was aired in 2016(judged by Shivaraj Kumar, Rachitha Ram & Harsha, hosted by Akul) was their last big reality show, after that they have not invested big in reality shows (though there were low budget shows like Saval ge Sye & Thutta Muttha). Whereas they have invested heavily on Master Chef, KBC & other big shows in other markets.
Earlier, at least, they used to get satellite rights of some big movies. Now a days they are not investing in movies also. I think Yuvarathna & Robert are the only big movies they have aquired in recent times. They are loosing existing rights also.
Udaya (the Sun Network) is not ready to invest in anything, but they only want to make money.This is not going to work. Earlier, there were no competitors, but now the situation is different.
Star Suvarna is also not in good shape, but they are trying hard in all genres like serials, reality shows, and movies. Though their serials are remakes, the concepts are way better than Udaya serials.
