Because most of their movie has perpetual rights bought from the producers.

Only big production companies are able to bargain and give them with a stipulated time period or number of times to be telecasted.

Raj digital plus only first movie channel in Tamil after that ktv converted 2nd GEC to Movies channel. Ktv not changed Name . All sun network's channels changed the name 2ns GEC to " movies". Teja - Gemini Movies, Ushe - Udaya Movies and Kiran - Surya Movies.

Okay. Do you know the date and year of Raj Digital plus. I remember knowing about Raj Digital plus only after KTV.

Oh KTV, eppadi irundhuchi andha time 2000s mostly. The first 24hrs movie channel for Tamil.

So many movies now no where to be seen and the best print quality of them.

Neengal paathukondu irrupathu. KTV Non stop kondattam.

Most of the old movies have been renewed by other channels now and some of them haven't been renewed by others or sun till now

They think KTV is just enough with these 300 Movies which they can run for every 2-3 months.

Also TV viewership is going down so probably they might have not invested much in that, but we are loosing the Old but Gold movies.

Sadly some of the old films in sun looked so good but doesn't look that great in other channels

Even the ones not renewed till now by sun or others are either available in terrible prints in youtube or unavailable at all

That is the main reason for me asking Sun to renew the rights.

Youtube has a vast collection but some prints are very bad as you mentioned. But the thumbnail will have either 1080P Full HD or 4K Movie tag.
