Life OK to replace ‘Nagarjun: Ek Yodha’ with new series ‘Ghulaam’
Star India’s second Hindi entertainment channel Life OK is all set to make some changes in its programming line-up from January 2017. The channel’s big-budget series ‘Nagarjun: Ek Yodha’ will come to an end by next month, and will be replaced by Saurabh Tewari’s ‘Ghulaam’.
The channel has decided to take ‘Nagarjun: Ek Yodha’ off air because it failed to rise up on the ratings chart and is turning out to be an expensive affair.
‘Ghulaam’, which will be aired from February at 9 pm Monday–Friday, will feature Vikkas Manaktala, Niti Taylor and Param Singh in the lead roles. The show is produced by Saurabh Tewari’s Parin Multimedia and Rajesh Chadha’s IMRC Entertainment.
By the end of February 2017, Life OK will make some more changes in its programing line-up by replacing existing shows with new content. The shows that are in danger of being scrapped are ‘Kalash’ and ‘Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant’, but the decision on ending the show will be purely based on ratings, says a source close to the channel.
‘Kalash’ is produced by Balaji Telefilms and features Aparna Dixit and Krip Suri as protagonists. The show is aired on the channel from Monday to Friday at 8.30 pm. ‘Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant’ is produced by Sonali Jaffar and features Ridhima Pandit and Raqesh Vashisth. The show is aired on the channel at 8 pm from Monday to Friday.
