According to me 3 reasons:

1. Asianet after acquisition by Star, started big programs and more content. Where more and good content, people shifted to there.

2. Entry of new players like Mazhavil (2011), Flowers tv(2015), Zee Keralam (2018) also created impact on Surya.

3. Surya tv programs lack those old quality. MasterChef was going to come, it vanished away.
