Master did excellent business in its extended first week of around 125 crore nett though the film did face drops on the weekdays. The film collected a huge 101 crore nett plus in the first five days and added 24 crore nett over the next four days. The film was driven by huge starpower and holiday period but the content probably had average appreciation.
Basically these numbers show that the audience came in big numbers despite covid restrictions but the film itself is the reason for the slowing collections. Despite the dropping collections it should hit the 150 crore nett mark though its going be Tamil Nadu that most of the business will come from here on.
The final business of the film in its home state will fall around 15-20% short of the highest Tamil grosser Bigil in terms of GROSS business which is a huge result whichever way you look it in these times. Also it has to be said the film has not really gone through post the initial which makes it looks even more better. The collections of Master (all formats) across India are as follows.
Tamil Nadu - 78,00,00,000 apprx
Nizam / Andhra - 22,00,00,000 apprx
Mysore / Karnataka - 12,25,00,000 apprx
Kerala - 9,00,00,000 apprx
Hindi Circuits - 4,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 1,25,00,00,000 apprx
The drops in Overseas were more than India which is natural as it collected $5.25 million in nine days which means a worldwide GROSS figure of around 183 crore with 37 crore from Overseas and 146 crore GROSS from India. The film should cross 200 crore and settle for a final total in the range of 220 crore.
