Sony Pictures Networks is set to launch the
high-definition (HD) feed of its flagship Hindi movie and
events channel Max on 25 December.
With a brand mantra of ‘Jee Ke Dekho’, Max HD will
showcase blockbuster films like ‘Bahubali’, ‘PK’, ‘Queen’,
‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’, ‘Ram Leela’ and ‘Aashiqui’, to name a
few.
Max HD aims to expand the HD subscriber base,The channel will be available
across multiple DTH and leading digital cable platforms.
SPN CEO NP Singh had said in an earlier interaction, “We
are ready to launch MAX HD once we get the licence. It is
a very different and unique channel compared to what we
have at present.”
The company currently beams four HD channels – SET HD,
Sony Six HD, Pix HD and AXN HD.
