They cancelled long back, but they have Sab Tamil Lisence.

I had heard long back that after Marathi region, Sony's next entry would be Kannada region with Sony Kannada. Let's see

Already failure example of Colors Tamil is infront of them . And their own Sony Marathi is struggling . Saturated market like Tamil won't be easy for them to tap . They may play safe

Perhaps entering in a smaller market can do them well. Gujarati is a monopoly from Colors Gujarati and if Sony enters Gujarati market with something like SET Gujarati/Sony Gujarati they can make profit.
