EW DELHI: Just a week after Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) released its maiden TV viewership data, a diktat has come from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) to stop publishing rating figures till the agency gets registered.
As per the guidelines, TV rating agencies have to obtain the registration from the ministry. However, BARC’s registration with the MIB is still in progress.
BARC executives are expected to speak to the MIB officials today afternoon to sort out the matter, a source told TelevisionPost.com. BARC’s TV viewership data releases every Wednesday
