yes I think now it looks like 4:3 format on SD.

Yes, like I said, may be d2h and airtel have different source for downloading their signals. :k
Or, may be Movies Now, transmitting 2 feeds. :huh

How come they will transmit in two or more different satellites? I think all of them (DTH operators and cable operators) should download the channels from same satellite (C Band) and distribute. DTH operators needs to uplink again to their Ku Band satellite where as cable operators need to decode and encode (if neccessary) and distribute to their customers..

They can, although generally its not done.

The programming source can upload their signals to one or more satellites (although, generally one is used), then DBS broadcast centers compresses, and encrypts the signals, before retransmitting it again.

On ADTV itself, I clicked one snap, Ten sports was being fetched from Intelsat 20. Check out the proof:

Even in analog cable the aspect ratio is 16:9 spreading full screen. So may be from broadcaster's end.[/align]

Thanks for the details shawl_who bro. But I didn't get the last line.

You mentioned TEN Sports was being fetched from Intelsat 20. But how are getting this EPG details?

Also, if this is from Airtel, then you should get this signal from SES 8 Ku band right?

How are you very sure that ADTV is receiving the signal from Intelsat 20?

All these questions are just for me to know the background on this...
