Ya bro..missed that. Asianet is now fully owned by Star Group. Bought the remaining 13% back in 2014. Wasn't aware of this deal.

But why they still uses old logo with color change..? i thought they don't change the logo because of some shares remaining with Asianet.

Asianet has been there since 1991. If they suddenly change the logo then it will be a change of a name that has been there for 26 years. So they will definitely change it but they will take their time. :k

don't want to change the name, also they won't change it.

Change the logo to star. Vijay, Maa  all have changed. Even though it's called as STAR Vijay or STAR Maa while casually speaking we only call them as Vijay TV or Maa.. It's not a big deal.

But we cannot say Star Vijay Super or Star Jalsha Movies. :shy Same for Asianet. Name may Star Asianet but while speaking we say only Asianet.
Logos of Star Vijay and Star Maa contain only the Star logo, not the word Star.

And yes, both the Asianet and Vijay logos are old and have a heritage, but while Asianet looks good, the Vijay logo looks horrible. :damn Are we in 2001 or 2017? They should change it. :wall
