My multi- LNB setup

Mostly there is a 3db loss in signal through diseqc... Its specified on my 4X1 diseqc...

some modification , done and added two more lnb's

center = c-band insat 2e/4a 83 E
1 left =KU-band st1 88 E
2 left=measat 3a 91 E
3 left =asiasat 5 100E,H
1 right =thaicom 5@ 78 E
2 right=abs1/insat4cr @ 74.5 E
3 right c-band intelsat 7/10 @ 68E

Is it safe to add a Ku band lnbf to C band dish? (Size matter) I have heard somewhere that if signal strength goes above 100% that STB may be goes out of order. Any kind of that type of risk u faced / not at all?

Other question is that ku band lnbf has no cap. What make it difference?

you can put ku lnb on c band dish no worry ,you cannot recive much signal becouse on prime focus the signal reflection point will be wider ,so in normal ku lnb has smaller diameter feedhorn ,so only some parts of signals enter into it ,so it will not have effect of oversignaling,,it work normal

in case perfect signals are getting into lnb mouth then there may be oversignaling happens,but normally not , as we dont have thatmuch accurate dish or allainment

if oversignaling happens ,yes for sure there will be jitters ,in pic video quality , some recivers can withstand this issue ,some not ,

I have read recently in a thread where replier told that dish user can select Vertical polarity instead of Left polarity & Its work.

Do the same as above & give result in reply. If it is then its great thing for we, isnt it?

What is teflon piece & where it available for me easily? I have heard that it uses for medicine tablet covers but u shown piece is not show like that. Its flat and unbreakable.

hi , sorry I have been offline for many days , due to personal works

well about your question ,

yes normally many recivers have only linear polarity selection in the menu , some do have L&R selection ,

but the real fact is , any lnb is made to work for either polarity , by sending a certain voltage to the lnb by reciver ,

see here ,,if reciver sends

13/14 volts switch the vertical polarity ,,and R(rhcp)
17/18 volts switchs the horizontal polarity ,,and ,,L(lhcp)

this how a lnb trigger the polarity by voltage sent by reciver ,

reciver dosent know weather it is circular pol or linear pol ,

as we see normal lnb's are linear pol lnb's , and these are capable of reciveing linear signals

where as circular polraty signals , transmitted by satellite by either ,left movement circle (waves) or right circle waves ,

and these type are called circular signals ,

and now if we want recive these signals , then we need to.make them as linear signals becouse we have linear lnb's

thus now , for transformation/seperation , teflon come into play ,

teflon nothing but it is a dielectric plate , which blocks the signals , for seperation ,

well ,,you can use any material which is dielectric , as teflon ,

and you can use simple tile piece or metal peice ,

and , on my picture shown is real Teflon plate which came along with my dish ,
