English movie channel Star World Premiere HD will host a New Year special binge airing of the popular science-fiction drama ‘Westworld’. The series will air on 31 December and 1 January at 12 pm.
Created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the season acting stalwarts like Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Evan Rachel Wood, Jimmi Simpson and more. The first season, which debuted on HBO, consists of 10 episodes.
The story takes place in the fictional Westworld, a technologically advanced, Western-themed amusement park populated by androids dubbed ‘hosts’. Westworld caters to high-paying visitors dubbed ‘newcomers’, who can do whatever they wish within the park, without fear of retaliation from the hosts.
In November 2016, HBO renewed the show for a second season and it is planned for 2018 release.
‘Westworld’ has received 9.2 rating on IMDB and has been nominated for three Golden Globe Awards, two Satellite Awards, four Critics’ Choice Television Awards and two Writers Guild of America Awards. The show won three Critics’ Choice Television Awards including the Critics’ Choice Most Exciting New Series Award, Best Actress in a Drama Series and Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series awards.

Viacom18’s English Entertainment cluster channels Colors Infinity, Vh1 and Comedy Central gear-up for the simulcast of overwhelmingly impressive, power-packed performances of the night, while the American TV & Film industry collectively hold their breath, as they compete for the most coveted awards in the business, the Golden Globe Awards.
The awards will be compered by the host of The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon, following the legacy of Ricky Gervais, Amy Poehler, and Tina Fey.
The simulcast of the 74th Golden Globe Awards will happen straight from Beverly Hills on Vh1, Colors Infinity and Comedy Central on Monday, 9th January, 7:30 AM onwards with a primetime repeat at 9 PM.

While the TV category is, unsurprisingly, dominated by The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, there are a few additions to the list, of shows that premiered this year like This Is Us, Westworld and Stranger Things.

MUMBAI: Star World and Star World HD will air American political thriller series ‘Homeland season 6’ from 16 January, a day after its US premiere. The show will air at 9 pm.
Developed by Alex Gansa and Howard Gordon, the political thriller is based on the original Israeli series “Prisoners of War” by Gideon Raff. The show stars Claire Danes, Rupert Friend, F. Murray Abraham, Elizabeth Marvel and Mandy Patinkin.
Season 6 picks up several months after Carrie thwarted the terrorist attack in Berlin and moved to New York City to provide aid to mistreated Muslims living in the US.
The sixth season is set during a post-election period with a woman president-elect who seduces the press, spars with the C.I.A. and stirs international political dramas before she even takes office.
While ‘Homeland’ previously cooked up some fantastical terrorist plots in its far-flung locales, its homecoming has forced it to stay grounded. “We were not going to tell a story about a terrorist attack on New York City,” said Alex Gansa, the show’s co-creator and show runner. “Instead, the season plays with psychological reverberations of the war on terror in the United States. We deal with the threat itself. “How real is it? How scary is it? How existential is it? Have we overreacted since 9/11? What are we doing, how much are we spending, and what kind of an industry have we built up over domestic counterterrorism?”
