No. Because the main input cost of HD DVR is the internal disk which can be recovered from SD DVR. In HD DVR even LNB has to be changed. Only Dish will be same. So cost will be at most Rs.300 less for HD+ upgrade users than for new users.

So comes around Rs.4000 if comes in Rs.2000 to Rs.3000 range it will be good let's see but Rs.4490 itself low only reasonable price for a new dvr connection nice offer from Airtel.

Comparing to TS at Rs.10000 Airtel dvr is aggressive pricing soon Airtel will lead TS.

These costs are higher than what customer care told me back in June.  See post Link Removed in GD thread. Two months of delay in release to increase the cost from original decision? Cannot understand Airtel.

HD+ to HD DVR upgradation cost is 3990/-
3840/- for DVR and 150/ for installation.
