Friends,
Can someone suggest me a cheap option to connect to my old sound system please?
I already tried STB -> TV (HDMI) and then TV (Aux) -> Sound system (2.1) and it was working. But, the sound quality is not very good in this method.
So, I'm planning to try out STB -> Sound system (either 5.1/2.1). Looks like I can use 2.1 extender and connect this right? Will this improve the sound quality than the above method? Has any one tried it out before? What is your setup? Please share your experience.
P.S:
My speaker system (old) doesnt have spdif input and I would need to invest more to get a spdif -> 5.1 converter which I dont want to do it at the moment. I'll most likely get a new sound system in the near future.
Thanks.
