Earlier airtel used to provide all bengali channel @ ₹45 (if we take higher package it becomes free)(Some of us also getting it for free in lowest base package also) but now for the same no of channel we have to pay ₹71.79
Almost 60% price hike.

Opt for bouquets.
 
You can select star basic pack, you will get regional channels with sports and infotainment channels.

Don't go for boquets as NCF of Rs.20 charged for extra 25 channels apart from that first 100 Channels.

Since 1 HD Channel counted as 2 Channels Boquets will crowd the package in case of HD user and might take NCF amont alone to Rs.100.

It's the Ala-Carte rate. If you want to compare then do it properly. Earlier for 9 Ala-Carte channels customers were paying 90 but now for 9 Ala-Carte channels customers will pay 71.79. So, which is costly?
If still airtel will provide genre wise topups then it'll be almost same to the old one.
