What a judgement by the court. no one loses. But frankly it is a loss for Trai and consumers. As broadcasters still the got power to form bouquest as they wish without offerring much discounts. Instead of having few channels, broadcaster will put many channels in a bouquet to inflate the price. Only good thing is that pay channel part of bouquet can not be more than Rs 12 so if bouquet is not attractive. consumer will go for al a carte.

You can see that STAR INDIA already decreased few channels price in 2020 (Not 12 RS) and increased the alacarte price.
Now hope fully we can watch sports channels at 12.

It will depend on the new RIO with different broadcasters and the operators . Will take at least 6 months I guess.
