That's okay. We can boycott the big channels. Automatically, after some time, they will come down and include them in bouquets.
Nobody cares except a very few people about their TV bill. Who got enough knowledge and time to sit and select each channel carefully. Most people just select a package and pay for it so a boycott is joke even if one Cricket channel is priced at Rs 75, it will still be subscribed. Thing with removing channels from free dish was different, it backfired because free and paid users can't be treated in same way.

If GEC is priced ₹75. People will gladly pay without a second though. If something niche like sport is priced ₹75. People would rather stream over the internet or listen on AIR than pay ₹75 on one event. You are overestimating cricket or any sporting events. The reason for sports broadcasting still being sucessful after NTO is because of it being bundled at discount with GEC. If they go Alacartè. The can say goodbye to half the viewership.

So, broadcasters easily trap people due to cricket addiction.?

Many won't care if their DPO bundle and give all their required channels and bill 500-600 per month.
But if they have to manually go and subscribe 15-20 channels one by one (and renew every month), many won't do it either.

Pre-NTO popular sports channels were priced at Rs 75 per month, online streaming would require high speed data connection or compromise with quality, screen size that sports loving people don't want.

It was a whole different scenario back than. People paid for annual packages at a discount with multiple channels. Sports might be the only extra monthly expenses. Base plans also carried sports if I am not wrong.

I meant watching in bits over a full match.

It can be a revolution to teach them. If we trust, we together can.
Let's be practical here. DDF totally have 35k people... Let's say we all collectively boycott all the channels (most of us may not be using them at all, what are the odds of people subscribed to all channels, fairly slim ). Even if we considered that there are only 1 crore connections our boycotting won't even cause a dent... And for a very good reason we all know there are more than 1 crore connections overall in India.... Hope that explains
