Many won't care if their DPO bundle and give all their required channels and bill 500-600 per month.
But if they have to manually go and subscribe 15-20 channels one by one (and renew every month), many won't do it either.
₹500 - ₹600 is excessive. Remember people uses mobile phones as source of entertainment which also has extra expenses upto ₹250 monthly. Couple of years back they had no alternative source for entertainment. Nowadays they have alternative. One can watch tv show of favourite GEC on tv. Stream the second GEC's shows on mobile for free.

We are sure underestimating common people. Rich people prefers streaming over traditional tv. Middle class is already burdened from pandemic. They will most likely cut expenses. No one's blindly paying ₹400 and ₹500 for most channels they won't even watch. Let broadcasters act in confidence. When numbers come out in next quarter. We will see who will have the last laugh.

Before NTO1.0, many were paying around 500 and getting all the channels (wanted, unwanted, never watched, never heard....) and simply paying the monthly bill. If NTO did not come, the same situation would've continued.
Even now many cable users are using the DPO pack given to them and paying above 400.
They don't know about channel selection, activation etc.
Internet connection means WhatsApp and online class for children for them.
