Both cases broadcasters win what they want. They not worried about mrp 12 rs . They worried about two condition . It leads remove unwanted channel from their bouquet.
Trai want restitution in discount for unwanted channel in bouquet. They loss two condition in bouquet.
Trai may go for appeal...

Firstly 18% GST is just brainless.
We have to pay 18% for every single channels then again pay 18% for all channels put together. Tax itself makes 1/3rd of the total amount
Broadcasters must pay tax. And consumers must pay 18% only for total amount.

Also why should we pay for FTA. They are meant to be free. Won't broadcaster pay for cable / DTH a carriage fee.

Agree with you, correct 18% Tax waste,

only profit I can see if you are choosing ala carte.
Mostly I hope sports channel viewers and HD viewers will be benefited. Still you will not get much benefit if you are selecting huge number of channels.

Who told you this nonsense?

We are paying 18% only. Not double that. Go and check properly.
