yes... You need to buy HDMI - AV converter cable to be able to use it on CRT TV. Dish tv HD boxes do not have AV ports by default owing to its small size

Apart from HDMI - AV cable, I think an another port is there to connect the AV cable. You just confirm with any Dish :hd users...:k
