South India's Sun Network took its first step outside its comfort zone on 3 February 2019 with the launch of Sun Bangla. Since then, even though the channel has not exactly been a massive success, it has still managed to give some competition to Colors Bangla and even managed to sometimes enter the BARC top 5 Bengali channels. It is also venturing into game shows lately.
