It looks like veteran director P Vasu, who has many blockbusters to his credit in films across South India, is no aspiring to make an English film.

The film, we hear, will titled Curry in Love. Sources say that the director is in touch with none other than Ilayathalapathy Vijay to play the lead. Another word that has spread is that the director wants to cast Sonam Kapoor as Vijay's love interest. However, no official confirmation has come in this regard.

The director's last release was Arakshaka in Kannada, which was declared a huge hit. The film had Kannada star Upendra, RaginiDwivedi and Sadha playing the lead.

Amanda Seyfried, Nick Nolte, Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor for P Vasu’s debut English film?

Director P Vasu says he is all set to make his English film debut with Curry In Love, which is being produced by a Hollywood-based production house. The director and the producer claim that Hollywood biggies like Amanda Seyfried, Nick Nolte, and Bollywood actors Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor have been roped in for the film. "Yes we have Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Amanda Seyfried and Nick on board. I am heading to Los Angeles this week to firm up the locations. The shoot will commence from August. This will be a straight English film and it will be released for the American audience," says Vasu.

Script writer and producer of the film, Raj Thiruselvam, who will be co-directing the film, says,"Sonam and Anil will be playing on-screen dad and daughter. P.Vasu will be working with international technicians for the film. We chose Vasu as he has done excellent work in the Rajinikanth-starrer Chandramukhi, which had a pivotal ghost character. Even this film is based on supernatural powers. The film also has an environmental message for the global audience."Apparently actor Vijay had been approached to play the lead, but he had date issues. "We had approached Vijay with the role of the hero for this film. But he has no dates for us. As we have to get the film rolling, we are now looking for another actor, and should soon be finalizing it, "says Raj. Meanwhile, when asked if he had signed on this project, actor Anil Kapoor, no stranger to Hollywood, said he wasn't in the least aware of any such film or role. Sonam Kapoor's spokesperson too denied that the actress was in on this project.
